Data Deletion
Last updated: 31 August 2026
Most services make you request deletion and then wait. Appinger apps do not, because your data was never sent to us. You delete it yourself, and it is gone immediately.
Deleting your app data
Because every Appinger app stores its data on your own device, deleting it is entirely under your control and takes effect at once.
Delete everything
Uninstalling the app removes its local database and settings along with it. On iOS, Android and Windows, removing an app deletes the data stored in its private container.
Delete some of it
To clear your history but keep the app, use the app's own controls — deleting individual entries, or the reset option in Settings where one is provided.
One thing to check first
If your device backs itself up (iCloud, Google One, or a local backup), a copy of the app's data may exist in that backup. Removing it there is done through your device or backup provider's settings, not through us — we have no access to your backups.
Export before you delete if you want to keep anything. Where an app can export or share your data, do that first. Once local data is gone, neither you nor we can recover it.
What we hold about you, and how to remove it
Very little, and only if you have contacted us.
| What | Where it is | How to have it deleted |
|---|---|---|
| Your app content and settings | Only on your device | Delete it yourself, as above. We hold no copy. |
| Emails or contact-form messages you sent us | Our mailbox | Email sisermann@gmail.com and ask. |
| Website access logs (including IP address) | Our host, Netlify | Deleted automatically after a short period. |
| Purchase records | Apple, Google and RevenueCat | Through your store account. We cannot delete their records, and tax law requires them to keep some. |
There is no account to close and no identity to verify, because we never created one for you.
If you want to ask us anyway
You are entitled to make a formal erasure request under Art. 17 GDPR, and you are welcome to. Email sisermann@gmail.com with "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line, and tell us what you would like removed. We will respond within one month.
We will answer honestly, which in most cases means confirming that we held nothing about you to begin with. We may be unable to link a request to any record precisely because we hold so few identifiers — under Art. 11(2) GDPR we are not obliged to gather more data merely to make that possible.
Your other rights
Alongside erasure you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. For app data, the app itself already gives you all of these directly — the data is on your device, in your hands.
You can also complain to the data protection authority of your German federal state, or of your EU country of residence.
